Ok, I just moved from a temporary free host (f2o.org) to paid hosting at a new address www.innetec.co.uk - but my old f2o account is still active with pretty much the same content bar a few additions.

The question is, is google likely to penalise my page rank because I have duplicate sites? I plan to keep the free host for different content, and have blocked all spiders in my robots.txt file.

Any advice?

Google doesn't like duplicate content and tends to spider and list one and not bother with the other.

Currently your old site hasn't been indexed by Google and has no page rank. I would suggest that you devote your SEO energy to the new domain name but if you want to keep the old site that any content is different to the main site.

Send a message via Yahoo to peterjhale
why don't you 301 redirect the old site to the new one in the mean time?

If you can of course

But ensure it's not a 302 redirect - check with the host

Yeh a redirect is probly the answer for now, 'cos I only recently submitted the old site to a few places and it could get crawled anytime soon.

Thanks both
