I have three blogs all of which are using Wordpress and all based on the same theme. I was running the blog through a link checker and found loads of outbound links.
Looking at my smallest invoice discounting blog which has only two posts the link checker has found hundreds of outbound links including 121 different links to various Yahoo sites whereas I can only see one link and that is the subscription link.
To make matters worse there are six hyperlinks to various pages on http://www.dcresource.com/ which is a digital camera reviewing website that I know nothing about.
Can anyone tell me where these links are hidden please and whether they have any detrimental effect on my blog.
In the right sidebar there are series of links to various feeds. I have deleted the link to the Yahoo feed and all 121 of the Yahoo links have also disappeared.
Link Checker Pro isn't a reciprocal link checker but it is supposed to check that all links in the website are valid
Xenu is the ultimate in link search, but I would imagine that those links have attached themselves. Xenu cannot get rid of them, you are going to have to bite the bullet and do a no follow on those links.
