"I will take your business to the next level" - WOW! I wanna go to th' next level! Please, point these gung-ho go-getters in my direction! After 12 years at it I still don't know how to do that myself, let alone what it actually means.
I must say, if I ever find myself in the position of dealing with that second-from-last fellow (don't know I if I should type his name) I will be taking the precaution of asking for treble whatever the job is worth, up front, in cash, before I've even handed him a business card. And then I'd still keep my gloves on.
As for Sir Alan, he learned at a very early age that bullshine gets you nothing and straight talking gets you listened to. It makes meetings shorter too, which means I might stay awake.
His personality certainly grates, but if you work for him and you don't like him then just shut up and do what he says or leave. I'm sure that on the quiet he notices and respects people that understand his methods and just damn well get on with it.
I wish I was like him, I'd be a lot more successful and who really needs friends anyway? Out of 10,000 applicants for The Apprentice, I think I'd be 10,001...
