Hello all,
My name is Cavelle Leigh and I am a researcher at Twofour Broadcast, a television production company. We are currently producing a BBC 2 programme entitled Keep It In The Family. Essentially it is an observational programme exploring the dynamics of the family business, be it the positives, or the conflicts and tensions it may create. For the programme we are looking for businesses that have run in the family for generations but have sadly come to a standstill if you will in that they haven't a suitable successor to take over; perhaps the intended benefactors would rather go to university, travelling, or otherwise enter a somewhat different profession. We'd like to then convince their child to take over the business for perhaps only a fortnight, allowing their parent(s) a period of temporary retirement and observe with minimal intervention how the exchange pans out with particular reference to the daily trials and tribulations of successfully managing an independant business, and how the parental relationship is affected. If this applies to you and you are interested in particpating please dont hesitate to get in touch with us at
keepitinthefamily@twofour.co.uk.
Hope to hear from you shortly,
Many thanks
Cavelle
