Catering Vans-Is it Still Viable? -
21-07-2008, 12:41 PM
My sister and I wants to earn cash with the idea of a burger / food van. Can anyone advice as to how easy or difficult it is to get a regular market/car booth pitch or industrial round, is there someone to approach?
Is this business still profitable? Im sure there would be some learned person who could offer some advice |

I have a friend who was in the same business. Its certainly a very profitable business, but then he had a good pitch. That's the key really. I think his net profits were around 50k per year. Long hours and extremely hard work
Its a competitive market. Getting the right pitch won't be easy. He got his on an industrial estate by buying the business, which was, again 50k I believe. He sold up exhausted after a couple of years, getting back his initial outlay and having made some good money. I guess, you are on the right track in joining forums like this then you certainly will find the answers to your question. I suggest also to do business networking through sites like http://www.schmoozii.com or linked in.. |
