Importing From The far East?

Hi,
I am new to this,
my friend recently told me he had been importing from japan or china JVC 42" LCD screens, and had been selling them on ebay and making upto £300 per TV, I m interested in doing the same, he says he had the company send them directly to the winning bidders door, Is this legal? And is it possible for me to get into something like this?

I have just logged on and reviewed your question relating to Importing from the Far East. If you have a supplier of LCD screens in the Far East you can import in to the UK providing all is legitimate. You would need an agent here in the UK to custom clear your goods for you and ensure all documentary requirements are met for customs to enable delivery onward to your customers address.
