I think that the showroom is more important as people won't buy a car until they have seen and touched it. A website is useful though as it will show people who you are and what stock you have and I guess that visitors can be driven to it via listings in Autotrader and the like.

Hi,
You can embed the high quality 3D virtual tours and shows of the cars on your website. They can be implemented using some softwares and the viewers need having Apple Quick time installed to view them but the effect can really be great. |

There are loads of articles and guides on grey and parallel imports - it can be a very lucrative market but there are already a huge number of companies doing this so you need to make sure you have your niche secured. |

I bought my last three cars on ebay. The last one was from a dealer who sells via a variety of mediums.
Rather than having a showroom he holds the vehicles in a yard and sells from his home address. He advertises on autotrader and ebay and people come to his house to view. He does very very well selling this way and now that he has sold many cars on ebay and got fantastic feedback people have confidence that they can bid without seeing the vehicles. I would say the showroom is something you can aim for as you build. It depends on how many vehicles you intend to hold in stock. Good luck, this is a tough business to make good money in (primarily as ebay has brought prices down) James |
