Original incorporation documents -
17-06-2005, 12:06 PM
This is just what I found out for myself, it may help others.
Many incorporation formation companies offer more expensive packages that include 'original incorporation documents' being sent to the customer. A lot of formation companies advertise heavily on these products to make customer spend that extra £10-50. I phoned up a formation company and they said they print on official paper which makes the printed out documents official. I phoned Company House only to find that official paper is normal weight ivory coloured paper. Printed using black laser / inkjet printers. So if you want to save a load. Get the electronic documents and print them yourself using the above paper. I'm sure you all got access to a black laser or inkjet printer. This is referring to the Certificate of Incorporation. As far as I know the other documents don't have official paper including the Memorandum of Association. Banks like to see (no longer a legal requirement though) official papers. Its always good to do things the right way. Hope this helps. |

Realised that myself recently, but they only wanted £4 for the yellow print and weighed that up against buying the paper myself then fighting with a smudged inkjet and said, what the hell, and handed over the money
