Please advise: Starting a very small software company,India

Hi,

I have a idea of starting a very small software company. My plan is to start it first as a unregistered one, so that i can see how it works out. I have few questions below, it would be a great help if someone can help me out with it.

1. Will there be any problem if i run a small company which is unregistered
2. Whats the difference between companies that are Ltd, PVT LTD, INC. Is there any difference in paying tax in those. I am a single person who want to run the company and no partners, so which will suite me.
3. How about the Electricity Bill if i register and if i do not registered.

I know i should be consulting a CA, but i thought some experienced people might help me in this before i go to a CA(As i am not planning to register presently).

Kindly help me in this and also let me know if some other major issues that might need care.

I think that the problem that you have when asking for advice like this is that Teneric is a UK based forum and whilst many people might be able to advise you on English law it could be very different in India.

Hi Joe - I have experience and contacts offshore that are in the IT industry. Please let me know what sector of the IT industry you are planning to engage with. I am assuming clients will be in the UK and development offshore. I have a few ideas myself.

Maybe an idea to discuss this further off this forum if you like?.

I am planning to engage into web developmet mostly thats mainly using php,mysql,.NET.,designing etc.
