Researching my target marget ?? -

Hi I will soon be launching a web site, which would basically be for Indian and UK Teens and Youth. As this is my first project, I would like to have some advice on, what kind of methods should I use for researching my target market. It would basically be an interactive web site with a forum too. Any suggestions?
