Setting up an offshore company - who can I trust?

Hello,

I'm thinking about setting up an offshore company. I've done a little research on this topic and I now know which countries are attractive. However I'm having a hard time selecting a company that can help me with setting up my own offshore company.

When I search Google on "offshore company" or something familiar I'm able to find dozens of companies that claim to be able to setup a legal offshore company in almost any country you can think of. The problem with this is that I can't tell from the company's website if I can trust the company or not. It's of course very important that I know for sure that I can trust the company that will setup my offshore company because they will provide me with the official documents. But how do I know these documents are valid and not false?

When I setup an offshore company and I attach an offshore bank account to it, I put myself in quite a vulnerable position. If the company that sets these things up for me is not to be trusted I could of course end up losing all the funds that I put in the offshore account and in addition to that I could lose the money I pay for setting things up...

So is there anyone that has experience with these kind of things who could tell me which companies can help me with this and are to be trusted for sure?
