First bit of news for 2008. Terapad have launched a Reseller opportunity, which helps cut the costs of small business websites. We are making Terapad available to web design companies from across the globe for free, as a tool to create small business websites with shops, forums, events calendars etc.
This will dramatically reduce the designers costs and should lead to some better deals on small business websites.
If you are a small business thinking of setting up a website you can find web design companies within a directory on the Terapad site that are approved Terapad designers.
If you wish to become a Terapad designer you can also apply on the site.
So what do you think? A good move? The initial take up has been very positive.
I would seriously consider fixing your site. All that JS and flash is not good from an accessibility point of view, nor is it indexable and the site doesn't even load on a PDA. You claim to have built in SEO but your site fails on so many levels that I am not confident that your product could help me.
I wish you well in your endeavors but a lack of any decent contact information makes me very wary.

Hi. Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately Terapad.com is not currently a Terapad based site, this is something we are addressing. Terapad sites are SEO optimised and rank very well in Google.
In terms of contact details, I'm not sure what you mean. We have email contacts and once we are working with companies we tend to form very personal relationships with them. We have reseller events to meet designers face to face and every reseller has a channel manager who is available to assist them.
Thanks again for the feedback. I have had a look at your site and it looks great. If you want I could email your company with more information about Terapad? We could look at listing you in our free directory of companies that offer Terapad sites to small businesses.
As to contact details, it's all part of the call to action. Put your contact details on every page so that wherever the visitor lands or navigates to they have an email address and a telephone number.
You also (by law) need to include your address somewhere on the site and uk registration number and VAT number on every page.
If you want to email me with info feel free.

It does seem a little odd that your own website doesn't use the technology you're promoting...would be a bit like Microsoft using Lotus for all their word processing.
Dunno if it's true, but someone once told me that the MS website runs on Linux servers 'cos the demand on the site was too heavy for MS run servers. He wasn't a rabid Linux fan, so he might have been right for all I know.
It wouldn't surprise me, as Windows servers can be extremely weak under pressure. But given that Microsoft is built on an idea stolen from Apple in the 1970s, why shouldn't their current empire be run on someone else's technology?!

Would be funny if it was true, wouldn't it!

That story came to light back in 2003 - what actually happened was that in order to defend against Ddos attacks and attacks on it's DNS server's - Microsoft used the services of a 3rd party DNS company... Who's server's ran a breed of Linux.
I don't think that MS have ever hosted website's on Linux...
