Sole Trader v Partnership -

I am giving up my job to run my new business...pet shop....but my husband will be carrying on with his job until such time as we can afford for him to join me full time..Question....should I set up as a sole trader and change the formation of the business later or can we be a partnership from the onset, even though he will carry on working? Are there any financial or 'other' implications? Thanks.
