When starting a business, it's best to go into something that you have the knowledge, experience and desire for. That way:

- you understand your market
- the types of customers who buy products & services
- the products & services they buy and why they do that
- industry contacts
- customer contacts

This will give you a head start and help you develop without failure.

If you go into something you've not done before you'll have a steep learning curve (which you dont need when you have limited funds and no customers !)

Anyone like to comment ?

yep - that's true

It's easy to think you can do something better than someone else and make loads of money - but if you have no experience it's going to be a tough slog
