advice needed: colllege or degree?

does the university u go to increase your chances of gettin a good job or is it ur grade in the degree...

like if u get first class honours in a degree from a crap uni...will potential employers look down on u...judging by the reputation of the university...

Although some people might be swayed by the name of the university I’d have thought that a first from Essex Uni or UEA would be of more value than a third from Oxford.

Also bear in mind that depending on the subject certain universities are considered leaders in the field, eg Loughborough for sports science and Essex Uni for social sciences.

I think it depends on what sector you are thinking of going into. Over the past few years I have noticed that many graduate jobs are looking for a min. 2:1 from a respected uni.

Completely agree. I'm not a great fan of txt speak on a phone, let alone anywhere else.
