Free Local Magazine Business...

Hi All,

I have started my business unit and have decided to do a free local magazine to the residents of Barnet, London.

I also thought that maybe i should have a business listing in the back, and for a small charge, residents can purchase a Privilage Card, which will give them discounts in the business listings in the back.

I also thought to cover my costs through local business advertising.

I just want to ask if anyone has even done something like this, and maybe offer me some advice into other possible income.

how big will your first print run be?

Thanks for getting back to me. This will only be for coursewrok pupropses, but i am planning on writing in the business plan that the first print would cover the majority of the barnet area in london, which is quite big. In quantity terms, i am thinking about 100,000.

sorry, you are setting up a "hyperthetical business" just as part of your course work?
If that's the case... just set it up for the whole of London.

It would never be viable to start with 100K unless you have major resources or financial backing/major sponsor. How hyperthetical IS hyperthetical?

I can write a business plan that says an elephant can hang off a cliff with it's tail tied to a daisy (I may have watched JFK one time too many)
