I think that parents play a crucial role in the student's development. If students are motivated to study at home, their learning will be more effective! It is also very important that teachers have a good communication with the student's parents. If students have a problem then, the teacher can talk with their parents for them to help them a little bit. Remember that parents know very well their children!

the role of the parents is really important in the children's learning process. Children need support from their parents and to know that they are going to be always with them. That is something that will be meaningfual for them.

I believe that Maths is one of those subjects that children are either interested in or not. I used to love maths at school (for some strange reason) and that was nothing to do with the role of my parents. I just enjoyed it and found it interesting!!

Hi,

A good book to read with regards Math and Schooling etc read the book
'Rich Dad, Poor Dad' by Robert Kyosaki.

His father was the head of the school, but another guy helped Robert in
his childhood, which in turn made him very rich. It took its time.

Enjoy reading it.

Kindest Regards

In my opinion (and I have to admit I'm fairly opinionated on this) a parent's sole role is to provide the best possible start in life to their children. If that child excels at maths, then support them in that. If they excel at other things, support them in that also. So long as the child gets the best start in life the parent is able to provide then the parent's done their part. I'm not just talking academically, I'm including things like honesty, courage, politenes, strength of will, ability to succeed - in other words a well-rounded child.

As a parent i encourage my children not only at school but also with the activities that they wanted to take part in out of school. i encouraged them to watch educational programs and documentrys on tv, they both left school with 10A level GCSEs and both went into their chosen careers whilst some of their peers who attended the same school, but were not given the same encouragement and support didn't do as well. i believe that the home and school are tied together and both should work towards the same goals, but some parents are not happy with this and believe that if their children fail it is down to the teachers in the school that they attend. education begins at home and expands when the child reaches school age and both should work together

Parents should motivate their kids to have a habit of doing their homework and following their progress with teachers.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I agree with you. There are two types of parents, maybe three. One type is interested what their children are up to. The other type does not care. Then there is the third type, a little bit like the first, but they are actively helping, nurturing, correcting, encouraging, honouring, respecting their children. In addition they are speaking positively into their lives.

Finally, it is proven that kids who have discovered their relationship with God and Jesus as their Saviour are much less in trouble with the law.
