Wornout,

I was particularly referring to the confidentiality aspect, but also like the route Peter is now taking with the private side.

I've been researching a franchise that I quite like the look of and feel I would benefit from bouncing ideas around with other franchisees or people with more business experience than myself such as accountants, etc. My research shows no-one in quite a sizeable area around me appears to be involved in this, and so I don't want to flag up the opportunity - hence not wanting to discuss it on an open forum.

Franchisor has admitted looking for someone in this geographic location, and keen to discuss (as I have funds to commit) following my initial conversations with them, and I can secure whole of my proposed area exclusively for a very low initial fee. That would allow enourmous growth potential in the medium term.

There must be pitfalls but my 'home-made' spreadsheet shows good earning possibilities from moderate sales. Its also something I could run alongside my current services very complimentary (very!) and so is attractive as each one will support the other. Problem is, have I missed something obvious??

Phew, long winded way of saying a confidential area is a good idea away from all the spammers that seem to infect business forums these days.
