Business Angels - 26-04-2005, 11:22 AM

Im sure a lot of people using this site, like me,have trouble raising start-up finance. What if we all,or those who already know a Business Angel try to get them involved in the site ,if nothing else their advice alone would be invaluable.Maybe these Angels might find that there are a lot of good ideas and people on this site.
Wouldn,t it be great if we created our own Angels register/data base?
Steve

I'm surprised that no-one has cottoned on to that yet but maybe there are Business Angels lurking as guests.

There are a variety of finance brokers active here including myself but unfortunately VC isn't my area of expertise. If you need any help with factoring, trade finance or asset finance though, I'm your man

Hi Ian
Thanks for your reply
I guess lots of people may have cottoned on ,but sadly they are not advertising themselves so that business proposals can be submitted.I would think anyone just posting their proposal without knowing whos looking would be risking losing everything.
Do you know any Angels?

I'm afraid that I only know the "give us a fee up front and we'll look around" type of Angel which is what you said you didn't want.

Are your projects only suitable for venture capital as there are a variety of other forms of finance around which may be suitable.

Ian
Youd think angels would get fed up giving their money to middle men, cause that what it adds up to.Guess my projects would suit other funding, but I like the thought of using angels experiance, support and input, sometimes thats just as good as the cash
