How to edit a post? -

I am sure this has been asked (and possibly answered) before but how do I edit a post on the forums?

There will be a small "edit" icon on the bottom left hand side of a post.
Posts are editable for 60 minutes after initial posting.

I tried that, but none of my posts have an "edit" button. Does that have to do with number of posts etc? Mick
