Hi Dean, welcome to the forums.

I'm not a finance chap but I can tell you that you are going to have all sorts of problems getting the site indexed and to rank well.

The search engine robots cannot 'see' images. This means that it cannot see any of your links.

One of the keys to a decent rank is the page title - all yours are the same so the search engines won't differentiate between the pages.

The information on the pages is comprehensive - that's good, but needs breaking up with sub headers to make scanning easier (people don't read they scan website copy). You also need a 'wow' factor to attract new customers.

Another issue is the use of .tv and your host in the USA. This won't help you with local searches in the UK. You would be much better off with a .co.uk domain and a UK host.

You mention the use of other websites to generate leads - might be worth linking to those sites and adding a link back to you from them.

Afterthought: are you the registrant? If not you need to ask Patrick to transfer the domain to you.

Hi

thank you for that, really is appreciated. unfortunately for us i do believe that the co.uk/.com of 1stcontact has been taken, although i am very suprised to hear that our website is hosted by a USA company. I'll be honest i didnt know who even designed this as obviously my director is in charge of that side of things,. He has said that he used 123reg, if that is any sense to you?

once again thank you for the feedback much appreciated

There are many companies claiming to offer website hosting but in reality, most of them are only resellers.

This summary shows tells you that the site is sitting on a server in New York: http://whois.domaintools.com/1stcontact.tv.

DKhosting.co.uk even tells you that the servers are located in Michegan!

You can also see that the site is registered to Patrick Wiseman. What you really want to see in that box is 1stcontactuk with your business address.

And did you know that .tv is the TLD country code for tuvalu?

So what you have is a website claiming to be from a pacific island located on a server in New York with the address book (for the server location) on a server in Michigan. Couple this with the lack of UK specific copy on the site means somebody carrying out a UK only search is very unlikely to ever find you!

Do a web search for 1stcontact.tv and there you are.
Do a UK only search and you are not listed (on my computer).

I quite liked the look of the sight. I think it has a crisp clean look about it. The copy however is another matter. There are rather a lot of grammatical and punctuation errors. I would advise you to have the copy rewritten or at least edited by a competent proofreader.

As you are aware, leads could cost anything from £5 at leadbay to £125 with mercantile. Your site does not give a clue what price range you are in, I appreciate that lets say for mortgage, the price will depend on loan size etc, but it will help the brokers if they know the average price. The other thing that you can add is if you can customise the leads, for example post codes, LTV, prime sub prime etc.
I have seen (and nearly used) lead generation companies who have uk websites, UK phone numbers, but they are based overseas !
On your refund exchange policy, you talk about "wrong number". I know from experience that people use a particular number, and then will never answer it (as they have put their details on multiple sites and have found what they are looking for),. it appears you do not cater for that.
another problem is to source a compliant product i.e income multiples etc, your site doe not say anything about that either.
I hope it helps.
