The web is really a platform to portfolio my services therefore I may have my home page changed to the gallery as suggested.
Having no expierience in the technical aspects of web building (self taught html and using dream wever) I am not sure how to overcome some of the issues mentioned.

Craig, I have taken on board what you have suggested about photography and my spray booth with a white sheet on the floor should work, I dont know why I didnt think of that before. I am gathering new photos for the changes I am planning.
Ref your site, how do I get the drop down menu boxes with, for example, a list of bikes I have painted, hyperlinking to the individual pages for thoes bikes?
Many thanks everyone
Dave
hi Dave, the drop down boxes great idea I do not know how to set that up our designer does that but it will be worth it if you can get it done..have fun.

Some cool helmet designs here BTW http://www.oddee.com/item_96633.aspx

If that's waht you want to acheive then that's how you need to build the site. Make your portfolio the main feature - the homepage could be much wider and have loads of images. Forget the dropdown menu options people much prefer to click on images.

Each homepage image should leads to a project page with BIG images and close ups.

And crucially, every page needs your contact details in the header and footer.

If you want help with the technical issues there are plenty of forums (including this ine) where you can find experts to answer your questions.

WOW, thanks for everything so far guys.
I have been working away on a bike the weekend and today so haven't been on here much.
I will get working on better pictures for the individual project pages as sugested.
Craig you will be happy to know I have started this new bike project with proper photos done in a make shift photo gallery, not just taken on the work bench as I have done before. The helmets you showed me are good too, I can do that lol.
SEO boys? I could do with the help where do I look?
I am planning my web pages all the time and will start to get them up and on line as soon as this bike project is finished.
Again many thanks for the pointers, please keep them coming.
Dave

Looking a lot better.

Some of the images are a bit squished - the motorcycles in particular seem to be very short.

You need to do something with your logo. Get rid of your website address and just leave to company name. Add your telephone number and email up the top of the page.

If you really want to be clever, why not paint yourself a logo and take a picture.
