New to site building, please review. - 17-06-2005, 01:54 AM

Hello,

I am interested in honest opinions on an informational site that has been up for about three weeks.

the site is somewhere

Since I am pretty new to site building I made this one very simple. I am also looking for comments/opinios on the content, and what your thoughts are for the placement that this site could legitimately achieve.

Thanks.

Jere

Interesting idea which I don't think is possible in the UK where criminal records aren't available to the public.

If you want my honest opinion I don't like this type of site at all as the content is minimal and they exist purely to earn money from a pay per click basis and the day when Google finds a way to keep them out of the rankings the better.

I'm afraid that my own industry is plagued with them and in many cases the specialist broker that knows what he is doing and offers a good service is being squeezed out of the rankings by programmers that know all about SEO and launch a website with minimum content but stuffed full of affiliate links and Google Ads.

It isn't sour grapes as my site ranks well and on the ocassions when I run a Google Adword campaign I limit it to Google anyway but you did ask for an honest opinion.

I agree with Ian. A bit pointless, just a placeholder for ads. Always annoys me when I find sites like yours in search results as they really are just a wasted click.

Still, I wish you luck with it, it isn't your fault that Google has created a market niche for junk web sites.

Increasingly, I am starting to think Google isn't really very good. Bring back Infoseek!
