Judging from the complaints every time there is a change on another forum that I look in on, it would seem that people prefer what they are used to.

I suppose that I also like what I am used to but must admit that I do like the new colour scheme

Having only found the site yesterday, I do not know what the old colours were, so cannot comment on whether better or not.

All I can say is that I found the site, stayed, explored, and here I am still, so it's doing it's job!

Well...If I am honest, I prefer the stronger colours on the forum. The rest of the site looks good, professional, etc, but I feel that the stronger colours convey a sharper, more dynamic image.

However, I would point out that I tend to dislike and avoid pale and pastel colours in my own life like the plague, so I am somewhat biased!

Peter -

love the new colours, and subtle design changes. I also prefer fixed width layouts to flexible ones, but it's just a personal preference ... my eye becomes used to where things are on a page, which aids my surfing, and since I flip between a Mac, a laptop and a PC - all with different screen sizes, fixed widths work for me!

The text contrast is low, and on pages without a colour image, this may be a bit of a problem. The home page is really made by the small colour image - it off sets the low contrast elsewhere, and really draws the eye. My question here is - a rockclimber? I understand the triumphant image, but does that really relate to business plans, or the feeling you get having created a successful business plan ...? Maybe it does, but most people who visit your site won't have experienced that yet.

Anyway, I like it, but would look at making greater use of stock images in the site to provide some more contrast. But, overall, huge improvement from all the grey that was there before!

David

Sorry Peter, not sure about the new colours - they just seem a bit "wishy washy", whereas your old scheme was quite sharp. Granted, maybe too much grey, but definately a sharper image.

But hey, what do I know about colour schemes, my site's bright green!

I agree that the colours are a bit wishy washy, though they look quite modern. I like the layout and the fact that is 'slimmer' than the current pages does not put me off.

I would rcommend adding some contrasting colour into the site, possibly some orange to the top right of the page, possibly a grey background or a grey border around the main section of the page.

Dan

What changed?

Agreed the forum colours are strong but the main site seems fine.

Thanks for all the feedback

Colour scheme has now migrated onto the forum and (I think) less wishy washy

Home page has new graphic and enhanced colours
