What a really nice site. There a few minor tweaks you could make but pythonmorphs is a real peach.

I have no interest in keeping snakes myself but it certainly caught my interest - loved the yawning snake!

Anyway. I'd have another look at your page titles. You have 60 characters available so use them. Try writing sentences instead of a couple of words. I'd also consider changing your H3 to and H1 and removing the current H1. Having polymorphs on every page is a wasted indexing opportunity.

You also need your contact details on every page and as a trader you should publish your business address somewhere on the site.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the compliment, I did not wish to publish my address as thats where I keep the valuable snakes, I am only a hobbyist breeder and am competing with some big breeders, so thought I should make it look a bit professional at least but have decided to make some changes like removing the trading as at bottom of the page this is a hobby that I hope will pay for itself, I think I may do better to capitalise on this rather than trying to compete with the big boys. thanks for the input and Ill talk with my programmer about your other suggestions.
regards Jon

I didn't notice the site - I was too busy looking at those beautiful animals.

Good luck with your business.

A trading address is only required for a limited company/ partnership and recommended for sole traders/ partnerships.

Having looked at the site it is clean, a little basic but this is certainly not a problem and is in vogue at the moment anyway.

My only criticism would be:

1) Your photos are looking a little over exposed - I have never photographed snakes to know how much of a problem reflection is from their scales

2) There is no call to action. I see your page with a £250 snake for sale, I decide I want to buy but there is nothing telling me what I am supposed to do? Do I phone? Email? Try and atract it with a line of dead rats?

And as a piece of advice:

I would say you need to get your terms and conditions improved significantly. For one you are giving advice on how to look these snakes in general and not just ones you sell and therefore open yourself up to liability claims if someone alleges your advice is the reason why their animal died. Likewise when you are saying advice on other sites is good.

Certainly a good job

That's not quite correct, any website carrying out commercial activities needs to display and address: http://www.out-law.com/page-431

Furthermore, the whois data for the site must also provide details of the registrant. Missing, incorrect or incomplete data can even lose you your domain: http://www.cre8asiteforums.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=47197.

Where as the governments own business link site says it only applies to Ltd or LLPs

http://www.businesslink.gov.uk/bdotg/action/detail?r.l1=1073861169&r.l3=1074021940&type=RESOUR CES&itemId=1075742593&r.l2=1073858845&r.s=sc

As usual... these things are as clear as mud.

The legal advice I received was that it was only compulsary for Ltd/ LLP but highly recommended for others (and probable to become a legal requriement in the future)

If you follow the links on the businesslink page to the e-commerce regulations it maskes it quite clear that just about every websites must include the contact details. Even as a sole trader you must publish your company registration details.

Thanks for your good input 1) I agree with you but when I submit correctly exposed photos to my progammer he says they are too dark, the problem with snakes especialy yellow ones is the flash tends to wash out the colours, I took over 300 pictures to get the ones on the site.
2) Thanks for the heads up thats something I missed you are of course absolutley right, and I will put that right asap.
On the terms I need to look harder and cover my back but believe me if someone follows my advice with regards to looking after carpet pythons they will not end up with sick or dead snakes.
regards Jon
