Hi all,

We have just joined the Teneric business forums.

Can you please review changes we have made to our static website Fusion Accounts. You can google us.

Fusion Accounts is a web based application which provides businesses with real time access to their cash flow and accounts.

All feedback is appreciated.

Regards
Kathryn

From your name I thought you were and accountant.

It appears hower that you sell software. First question is: why is your software any better then the hundreds of other accounting packages? What is so special that I'm going go stop using my surrent software and transfer to yours?

The homepage fails to excite any interest. It's not until I've read most of the blurb that I even know what it is you offer. You have about 2 seconds to pique my interest, if I can tell what it is you are offering and see the call to action then you have probably lost me as a potential customer.

You have a free trial but it took way too many clicks to get to the sign up page and when I did the system crashed.

The demo is just useless, there are no instruictions for use and I'm just sat looking at a pink screen. I did try to add a new business but the interface is so poor I gave up.

The actual site has so many different styles and layouts it's confusing and the code needs some sorting out - you certainly aren't going to attract the attention of the search engines.

You don't even have a call to action on every page.

OK so that might have been a bit of a grumpy review but there are already so many good accounting software websites.

Hi Fisicx,

Many thanks for taking the time to review our website. A copy of your review has been forwarded to our product & design team.

We appreciate that they are many good accounting software sites in existence, therefore, something to suit every businesses needs.

Reasons why businesses choose Fusion Accounts as their online accounting provider vary, i.e, we allow multiple users at no extra cost, FREE upgrades, FREE support, Foreign Currency functionalty and also we are one of few providers who support Multiple VAT registrations. These benefits sit alongside the benefits of any online accounting system ie. realtime access from any location, etc.

Then that's what you need to say in big bold words on the home page. Get rid of the three columns and simply have the free trial and demo links.

The problem is not so much your web team, it's you. Stop fiddling with the website and think about all the questions your customers ask, the sales pitch you make to new clients and transfer this to the site. Think about the information flow, the calls to action, the credibility of your product and so on. Once you are 100% sure you have the content that meet's your visitor's needs then talk to your web team.

At all time don't forget the aim of the site. All those questions about 'how did you find us' act as a choke point and are not pertinent to the aim of the site which is to get new clients.

Blunt and to the point. To be honest - I think your site is pretty great. I don't know if you've changed anything since you initially asked for the review but right now I'd say its good. I'd make a tiny suggestion to add some kind of 'call to action' beneath all the points in the middle column such as 'find out more' etc.

Hope this helps.
