Plenty of visitors - few sales ? -
14-03-2006, 12:29 AM
Not quite sure what the problem is here.
I'm getting pretty targeted traffic from keywords that I rank in the top 10 on google for, a good amount of repeat visitors but resulting in very few sales. I notice that many people are going to one page 'questions' is it worth putting a 'buy now' link on there ? It is a price thing ? Most people already know what it is as they have done a search for it, just can't quite put my finger on why the lack of sales. Any ideas from out there ? Thanks for that, I've made it a simple more simple.
Not too sure about the 0845 number as yet as the mobile service is promoting a local service and the geo number might lose that message. Might just have to test out a few different prices now to get the sales moving ? P. |

Hi ewo,
The company already has the coporate id www.Ultraseal.biz - I'm a distributor for them and the Ultrasealshop is the business name I use. As far as the local pages thing - it looks interesting, it mentions that they do first page google advertising all year around - do you know anymore about this ? Cheers P. |

Q - Will UltraSeal seal sidewall punctures?
A - Yes & No ^ ^ things like this won't help. your site looks like it needs a professional makeover, it also just looks like a string of statements. Take time to write flowing sentences describing the quality of your product and put the visitor at ease. You do want them to make a purchase...don't you? A few hours writing friendly copy will make a great difference. James |

Echoing some of the earlier comments, the site looks cheap. This is always a very bad thing. You have to show that you're prepared to invest in your product before you can expect any customers to.
Secondly, and again this has been raised previously, if you get a lot of visitors going to the "questions" page - you need to make sure that page sells for you. That doesn't mean sticking a "Buy now" button on it. But you need to trun every question onto the page into an answer which drives people to buy the product. "Yes", "No" and "Yes & No" won't do that for you. You should have at least a paragraph in answer to every question, and each should make a very convincing case to nudge the customer in the direction of buying the product. And I mean nudge - not "YES!! CLICK HERE TO BUY IT NOW" but a reasoned informative answer. If the answer to the question suggests that the user is really looking for something else ("Will ultraseal cure my gout?"), then you need to admit it, but instead of just "No", why not "Ultraseal is a chemical tyre sealant and as such can't really claim to cure gout, but it can help you avoid a puncture on a dark rainy nightwhich should at least reduce stress levels." One of your questions asks "Can UltraSeal be used in all types of tyres?" and the answer is "generally yes". To the wary online buyer, this reads "No". No wonder they're not buying. Explain what "generally" means. Help a prospective customer to gain confidence that the product wil work for them The googlefodder words on the bottom of the question page will also put people off. It just makes the thing look dodgy. |
