Nope. Completely the wrong direction.
You are focussing on the negative aspects. If the business hears those messages every day then a database is not going to suddenly transform the way they do busienss. In order to build the database you would need to analyse their workflow, processes, resources, in other words carry out a business nedds analysis. The last one of these I did took over two weeks.
You need to focus attention of the benefits of using your database solution over Sage, SAP, CRM packages, project management software and so on. What is your USP? What makes your service better than any of the hundreds of off-the-shelf products I can already buy?
Leave the website alone. Start writing persuasive copy - write down every single reason you can think of for using a DB. Then expand each of these reasons. Write pages and pages of stuff. Get screen shots of your finished products. Explain the benefits. Put a live demo on the site.
Then go back to your homepage and ask yourself: what would make me want to find out more. Think about what make you investigate more whan you visit a website. What intrigues you?
Read everything here: copyblogger.com. You will soon realise that you need to do a lot more than just hope, you need to persuade.
