My site address is www.nick-harper.co.uk!

He means that in a couple of days, Googlebot will have spidered these Forums again and indexed the link(s) to your website - if you try searching Google for your website by name then you will more than likely return the links in these Forums before your actual site! Strange but True!
This is because Teneric has a high PR (and is probably a "trusted website") so Google rates it's content more valuable than yours...

Hi Nick, first impressions; it's dark, gloomy, dull.

That alone would be enough for me to go onto the next site, however;

1. The buttons at the bottom are nice, once you realise they are buttons. Too dark to start and can't read the text underneath.

2. Your e-mail link (top left) does not do anything when I click on it.

3. Your 5 links top right do nothing when I click them.

4. Since when has 'web design' been one word?

5. It's depressing me looking at it, it is so dark!

Ask again when it is a bit more cheerful, lively, vibrant and generally more appealing!

I will just add though, that in terms of structure, it is fine, with different colours it would be great

With respect to SEO, there would be so much work involved in getting good ranking for your business area it is almost not worth the effort. The time could be better spend contacting local businesses to get work.

Thankyou for the feedback!

I have been playing about with the top image because I don't seem to be able to get it to look right!

I will also be editing the navigation images to have bigger text for the navigation so it stands out what it is for

Hi and Thanks for your replies,

I will be adding customer references soon because I am still waiting on e-mail replies from the people I have worked for in the past! They will be up by the end of the week though

Well there isn't much work on there, in your portfolio. Are you putting more in soon? Don't mind it, it is easy to navigate.
